About Adelaide
Adelaide is a city that offers space to breathe. There is a sense of freedom here. It is not only the gateway to some of Australia’s best wine country, the city centre is surrounded by parklands and is a blend of historic buildings, wide streets, parklands, cafes and restaurants.
Adelaide has rolling hills to the east and beaches to the west. The airport is only 7km from Adelaide city. The Adelaide Hills and major beaches are less than half an hour away by car. That’s what we call liveable.
Home to The Adelaide Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival and WOMADelaide, Adelaide has a feast of great events throughout the year. Sports fans will love the award-winning Santos Tour Down Under and Clipsal 500, Adelaide V8 car race. AFL fans will love the newly redeveloped Adelaide Oval and it just a stone’s throw from our Light Apartments in Coglin St.
The tram between the CBD and Glenelg takes around 20 minutes and will drop you just 50m from the white sandy beach in the heart of Glenelg. Jetty Rd, Glenelg has a great range of restaurants, bars, cafes, clothing outlets, supermarkets and is just a 5 minute walk from our Colley Tce apartment.
The Beachouse in Glenelg will keep the kids entertained for hours with water slides, arcade games, rides and ferris wheel and Holdfast Shores dining precinct (a 2 minute walk from our Colley Tce apartment) offers some of Adelaide’s best dining.
